Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days (4/10) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, WOCN, Wound Care Certified (WCC) via NAWCO Must-Have: CWON certification Description: The role involves managing and coordinating patient care and wound management in consults and recommendations. You will work in accordance with established standards, defined timelines, and the overall plan of care. Documentation and billing are key responsibilities of this position. Candidates will assist with discharge for supplies. Identification, assessment, prevention, and continuing education on wound care are essential. Interdisciplinary collaboration is a significant aspect of this role. Experience with various types of wounds, including ostomies, draining wounds, pressure, vascular, arterial, and diabetic ulcerations is expected. The role may involve a minimum of 5 to 15 patient treatments per day, depending on the workload. Nursing staff will be supported by a team of 3-4 other RNs in similar roles. No previous travel experience is required for this position. The ability to provide phone support for photo documentation is necessary. Candidates must float to other facilities as needed. Weekend and holiday requirements do not apply to this role. There is no call or standby requirement. Self-scheduling may be available. Dress code does not include specific color preferences. Cancellation policy allows for a maximum of 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment. Charting will be conducted using the EPIC system.
